What are the upcoming changes to Twitter?
Due to significant recent changes in Twitter’s partner strategy and API offering, we are removing the Twitter channels and feeds features from Cheetah Experiences. This change will take place in the first week of May, 2023.
What will happen to my existing channels and feeds?
Twitter channels will automatically be deactivated by 30 April, 2023, once deactivated, you will not be able to reactivate again. Any existing Twitter feeds will most likely stop returning any data from this date.
What about my live experiences?
If you have an experience that is actively collecting entries from Twitter, we strongly suggest that you expire the experience and replace it with similar content pulling from another social network such as Instagram. If you have a live experience that displays a Twitter feed, any content that was ingested before April 30, 2023 should still display as expected. However, it's unlikely that any new content will be ingested after this date.
What about Entries and Insights?
Entries and Insights will still be correct up until April 30, 2023 but after this date, it's likely that you will no longer be able to collect new entries and insights will stop updating altogether.
Is this a permanent change?
At present, this change is permanent. We may decide to bring this feature back again in future if this is high in demand but it will require careful consideration.
